A/C data plate

The data plate says the max over current protection is 30 amps but there is a + sign in front of it. " Maximum Over current Protection Amps + :30" Does this mean anything more than 30 amps is acceptable? There is nothing in front of the Minimal Circuit Amps. The breaker was 40 amps.

Max is 30 amps.

At best the + sign is a misprint on the nameplate. As Robin stated 30 amps is the maximum if it’s providing protection for the unit.
