About Inspector Outlet

I would like to buy something, but shipping from US to Canada is too expensive. Does inspector outlet have an agent in Canada? Or is there any way I can buy items with lower shipping costs?

You need to contact them directly with your concerns with them! If you’re in Canada, you should already know the extra fees involved with international shipping!

Yep! Everything costs more in Canada. :unamused:

Inspector Outlet shipping costs are pricey, 33.00 in the USA for a small package. It is less expensive to buy it elsewhere, where they have free shipping.

I buy a lot of books online and I pay attention to the shipping/handling costs aside from the book cost.

Some places have the book costing $1.95 and the S/H is $8.00 and other places have the book at $5 and the S/H is $2.

Others have the book at $8 with free S/H.

I read 250 to 300 or more books/year, so I pay attention and I buy in volume.

Larry, unless you enjoy hard/paper backs, have you ever considered a Nook or Kindle? My wife reads 2 to 3 books a week and has a Nook. No shipping cost and no clutter once read.

Tom, I like holding the book in my hand and either donate the books to one of our local lending libraries or turn them in for credit to my local used book store.

Usually cheaper to just buy off Amazon.

Finally something you couldn’t find at the Canadian Tire Store? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I don’t know what happened to Inspector Outlet. I have an account and have been purchasing tool and books for a decade or longer. Never paid exchange rate.
I was charged $55.00 plus $22.00 in shipping fees plus hit with the exchange rate. Typically delivered right to my door for the advertised fee plus shipping which is usually >< 20.00
It came post Canada not UPS for an ETECH circuit analyzer for over $400.00 Canadian. I could have purchased the same tool at ITM for 214.00 plus tax.
I am going to reach out to fast reply to see what is going on.

Holy shmoly! That’s amazing and impressive. I read maybe four books a year. We allocate time to how we reckon our priorities. I am occupied about 12 hours a day with home inspection activities and work. After that, it’s work on the farm.
99% of the books I read are history or have some science/technical aspects.

Hi Scott, without publicizing your location, I will say that you’re sadly in one of the furthest zones from us, and do get hit with a rural delivery fee with FedEx. We actually are revamping our shipping this month and likely making the switch to UPS, as well as utilizing the new USPS Ground Advantage rates, which should offer some much cheaper options. We’ve also negotiated with UPS to get rid of the rural fees too.

Thank you for being a customer!

Edit, looks like I failed to quote the message. Scott Bridges, this was for you.

Hi Robert, we pay all the duties and taxes for Canadian shipments, so it sounds like the carrier messed up. Please email me at sales@inspectoroutlet.com and I’ll get you taken care of. Thank you!

That is what I though. I have been purchasing equipment and books for years.
Thank you for the fast reply back.
