Home inspectors of Ohio,
The Ohio Dept. of Real Estate has re-started the process of adopting the rules and regulations that are part of the home inspector licensing process.
At present, there is little information with regards to timelines but a public hearing on the proposed administrative rules is scheduled for video/telephone conference October 21st 2020 at 9am (see the Microsoft Teams Meeting and call info below as well as an additional attachment with additional information).
Many have asked questions regarding continuing education; the Dept. of Real Estate has not created the process for course approval at this time. The Ohio Department of Real Estate recommends continuing your education through the two Ohio ASHI chapters and other established programs.
The Joint Chapter Legislative Committee comprised of the Ohio Chapter of ASHI and the North Central Ohio Chapter of ASHI will continue to monitor the licensing program and will keep you informed as information becomes available.
