Ask InterNACHI - Website Edition

Hi folks!

We really enjoyed the video Q&A session last Friday, and we are planning another one next week, Friday the 15th. This time, we want to focus on website/marketing questions, and we’ll invite a couple more people to give their advice. If you have a question you want us to discuss, write it below on the forum and we’ll go through them!

We’ll be doing it next Friday, May 15, from 11am-noon EST, and we’ll run through the questions you post. We’ll share the live video link here in the forum for your viewing pleasure.

See you in a few days!

how to join?

Michael, look for a link here in the forum just before 11am EST on Friday, May 15th, 2020.

It is fun and you can type in questions for great answers!

I’ll be there.

Tim’s finishing getting the live stream set up. We’ll be live in just another minute or so!

Here’s the YouTube Live link:

I’ll start with a question: what are the top suggestions that you find yourself making when you talk to inspectors about their websites?

Put you NAP on the top of home page :cowboy_hat_face:

Tim — explain what NAP means

What would be a reasonable cost for building an effective website?

How important is thinking about mobile (designing for phones) when working on a site?

For those looking to build their own websites. Do you have a template to share?

Hey Michael! There are actually many templates that you can use to build your website. It really depends on what information you are looking to promote on your site and how. As Ben mentioned in the webinar, he has easy instructional videos on how to build an effective and beautiful website. If you go this page, you can watch all of these videos: https://www.nachi.org/tv/2018/05/24/how-to-build-a-website/

For a home inspection business, I think that any of these business layouts that Weebly offers would work very nicely: https://www.weebly.com/themes#vertical/business

I hope that helps!

My favorite comment (my own  ) about your home page having only a few seconds to convince someone to hire you: https://youtu.be/q2UZrUqGj1M?t=806
