Coquina shell stucco.
Appreciate it!
After blowing it up on my computer they may be rocks instead of shells so it would be pebbledash stucco instead.
Roughcast or pebbledash is a coarse [plaster)
If anyone remembers, the front facades of the Zayre Stores had that finish behind the front parapet wall where the sign was.
I built one in 1973 and the stone was actually pressed by hand in an adhesive applied on a transit board. I installed the transit board for the contractor that applied the finnish.
Roughcast-Pebbledash.
I remember!
that was some time ago Partner…
Yes it was. Actually, the year I got married. I was the foreman for the foundation, steel erection and rough carpentry for the job. I was 21. Full of piss and vinegar. LOL
I remember those days …
It seems like yesterday doesn’t it Jim?
indeed…it went by fast…
of course when Marcel was building that store I was still just a 20 year old pup working in the engine room…
Both working our dreams and wet behind the ears still, right? LOL
I usually just call it “Stucco/Simulated Stucco” to be safe. I think a lot of it is just some crap spackled on plywood. I don’t see it a lot in my area… seems like it’s usually on an apartment and beat to hell so I’ve never really had to ponder the write-up much.
Good info! I never knew what that was called, either.
