Summary and documentation:
Mr. DeVries has been involved with the Kingston Ontario Chapter for the past year.
He has worked tirelessly at reviving this chapter. He was very instrumental in getting Mr. Faresetta to teach his course Well sampler and Commercial in Kingston. He is very generous of his time and is a very strong supporter of NACHI. I fully support his efforts at the local and at the Provincial level._Mr. DeVries is my choice for this prestigious award for the year 2008.

Summary and documentation:
Vern has been very active throughout the year promoting both the
inspections industry and iNachi through out Alberta. He is currently the
president of the Alberta InterNACHI Alberta Chapter. Through his
leadership InterNACHI has been registered through out Canada and an
Alberta Chapter has been set up. He is on the committee for the Alberta
Home Inspection licensing. Through his efforts on this committee he has
established recognition for all InterNACHI members as a viable choice by
Realtors and Home owners. He has almost eradicated the myth that only
members of the other association are credible inspectors. This man has
great integrity and provides a positive atmosphere for inspection
related discussions. He has worked diligently and has sacrificed many
hours of personal time to promote our cause in this province. He is also
actively promoting the CMI designation. Please refer to his web site at

Article 1 – Introduction
The iNACHI Canadian Member of the Year program was created to publicly recognize a Canadian iNACHI member for superior performance during the calendar year, January 1st thru December 31st.
Article 2 – Description of the Program
The award will be presented to any iNACHI member selected based on exceptional contributions to the iNACHI Association, fellow members, and their individual local community in the following areas:
I. Performs “beyond the call of duty” to improve the service, quality, or image of iNACHI.
II. Exemplifies professionalism and dedication to excellent service by putting forth the extra effort.
III. Makes outstanding contributions of significance to the iNACHI organization to fulfill its mission.
The iNACHI Awards Committee is the final authority of issuance of this award.
Article 3 – Eligibility
All Canadian members of the iNACHI Association are eligible. (Employees, officers, directors, staff, and members who have been compensated are not eligible).
Article 4 – Submission Guidelines
Entries are for the period of January 1st thru December 31st of any given year.
Deadline for submission of nominations is set for December 10th of each year.
Candidates are nominated by any group, committee, or member of the iNACHI organization by forwarding a letter or email to the iNACHI Awards Committee with all supporting documentation and recommendations. All submissions received will be considered. Those lacking substantiate supporting documentation may be returned to the submitter for further documentation, verification, or clarification.
