Hi to all,
does anyone have any thoughts about combustion analyzers, I have been looking at them for some time now, especially as an aid to judging the condition of heat exchangers, I have been looking at primarily the Bacharach equipment as it appears to be the best known one out there, but I have seen other brands advertised, does anyone use this type of equipment and have experience with reliability, calibration and product training to use the equipment properly?

Gerry,
A word of caution goes along with owning equipment like that, such as placing yourself in the position of being a professional HVAC since you are performing the same testing that they would perform. From that standpoint it would be wise to take that into consideration when you perform that type of tests on HVAC equipment, it would be very easy for any descent attorney to convince a judge or jury you are since you perform the same type testing as them.
