In this course we learn that first impressions are key to a viable business. we need to not only look presentable and smile even when on the phone, but we also need to show our customers we appreciate their business.
we learn that our dress code for our business is one of the first things people notice when they first lay eyes on us. it is imperitive that we not only look and act professional but also carry ourselves in a way that shows we care about what we are doing.
INSPECTION ARRIVAL:This inspector will probably leave a poor first impression. Firstly, he is dressed poorly, the jeans have holes and are worn out like the tennis shoes. His body language with arms crossed is also poor. He was also 15 minutes late. He also insists on staning 10 feet from the client but, that was due to poor hygiene and an offensive smell.
DAMAGE DURING A HOME INSPECTION: Most home inspectors will damage or break something during their career. But, since the purpose of the inspection is to find defects, this will probably be a scenario. Components such as switches, valves and even roofing can fail during the normal course of an inspection and the homeowner should be thankful that it was identified prior to the new owner taking possession. They should also understand that if a component fails for the new owner that they are going to blame you, the inspector for failing to add it to their report.
When meeting with a new customer it is very important to always smile and keep a positive attitude. Just off of first appearance when a customer meets you could play many factors on how they view you. Treat a customer like you would want to be treated.
It is very important to always give great customer service when you are helping a client. With great customer service it will make clients spread the word of the great service they experienced. This will help the inspector and the business in the long run.

I chose the image of the Certified Master Inspector Plumbing. The image showed a inspector in a logo T-shirt. Having shirts with your company logo printed provides the professionalism that will help reassure your customer that they made the right decision selecting you over the other guy.

working vehicles appearance is important because it is usually the first thing the client sees when you arrive for an inspection.Your vehicle should be clean and dont have alot of damage and stickers from outside the job.Same for inside the vehicle it should be free of clutter.
First impressions are very important, as they say “you never get a second chance at a first impression.” First impressions are not always made when you meet someone face to face for the first time. Your first contact with a person maybe a phone call that will leave a first impression. No matter what form, it is best to be warm,friendly, honest, courtesy & don’t forget to smile. Remember that a first impression is a great way to start good costumer service with a client.
Inspection Attire-1-10
It is important what a inspector wears to a home inspection. Sometimes what a inspector wears will be the firest impression that he makes on a client. It is important to be neat & clean when you show up for a home inspection. You should be dressed appropriately for the area & climate you are working in. Use common sense when considering your attire for conducting a home inspection.
If I am going to start my inspection by walking around outside of the house, my shoes will be dirty by the time I start the inside inspection. Shoe covers are a convenient necessity. No client will be quick to refer me to someone else after I have tracked mud al over the carpet.
Special consideration may need to be used when performing a home inspection for an elderly client. Should this client prefer to be involved in the inspection, the inspector may need to move and speak slower to ensure the client is happy.
