By the way, all that paper facing on all that insulation ... this is what those warning labels say.

What is over the top where the water mark starts?


It’s obvious that the water is penetrating through at some upper area that is on the other side of that wall and running down.

I was guessing that blue line to be the chalkline to set the wall on, but now see on one photo how fat it is and you're probably right.

The Blue Sill Plate is a product called Sillbor. It is a borate treated product used mainly in humid areas. Due to the elimination of CCA and because of the many complications being reported with ACQ eating through fasteners many home builders in all areas of the country are turning to this Sillbor product. It has a trademark blue color.
