Just duplicate your main template and delete out everything but the deck stuff and rename the new template as your deck template.

Thank you Ryan, already know that trick. I was wondering if there was a more comprehensive version that covered stuff like type of fasteners used to joist spacing for the information section. I can use all my previous defects. Just looking to give the client their moneys worth for only inspecting their deck. by recording as much info as possible so they can they turn that to a contractor.

These are good examples/points, make a detailed inspection of the existing deck specifics and build/add to your template from the references you have (or research) to add to your template.

Awesome! Thanks Ryan and Dave. That is where my brain is going. Sounds like I will just have to buid something out. No biggie, just checking if there was a cheat code.
Client bought the home 2 years ago and seller report was very vague about deck issues. Client would rather have another inspector come out to provide a report of deficiencies and potential repairs over a deck contractor that is just going to want to build them a new deck.

Or buy a template database from one of our esteemed members. This will be a comprehensive template though, not just deck specific narratives.
