How deep should direct burial cable be?


I have looked in IRC, and can’t find a clear answer.


I took a practice test that said 24"


I thought it was 12"


Does anyone know the IRC code?

I agree, but it really depends on the details ... see IRC Table E3703.1 for a handy summary of the requirements ...
