On the fence about calling this out for further evaluation from a licensed mold inspector. Would appreciate your opinion. This is one side of an attic crawl space with no ventilation. Finished space down the middle. It was only when I was looking at the pictures that I started to suspect mold. Initially I thought it was dirt on the insulation. Of course the light was out at the time of the inspection.

Appreciate it Chuck, I called out what I thought was mold three houses ago and now I can’t stop seeing it!
