Exhaust vent for furnace

Furnace vent was covered by a wire screen and a dryer vent hood, is this acceptable ?

No…

Normally they have a screen it to stop birds and such but it should not be in the dryer vent hood

See manufacturers installation instructions, usually they require the exhaust pipe to terminate some distance away from the outside wall, as there will be a lot of condensation coming out of it. If that is a combustion air intake it may not be a problem, but again, what does installation instruction say?

It also appears to be too close to the operable door (4 feet horizontally from an operable opening).
