GEC question

50 year old house, original disconnect is below the meter. One more disconnect panel has been added more recently to the left of the meter. The feeds to the panels come from the connections inside the box below the meter, as well as the connection to the service neutral. The newer panel to the left does not have a grounding conductor attached to an electrode. The older panel below the meter does. Is this OK since they are connected to one another inside the junction box?

If you are showing us the service disconnect the first thing that leaps out is the 3 wire feeder to the panel inside. It is OK that the GEC lands there but there are not enough lugs on the bus bar for all the wires. The GEC seems to be double lugged.

Have them get an electrician in there to sort that mess out.

Patrick,

Did you call out the exposed nails (the sharp end) on the fencing?

Fencing is outside the scope of the inspection.
