Gold Prices Collapse

Is that an example of “new math”?

No, it’s opportunity. I plan on living for only 100 years so I don’t have time to buy something, watch it increase in price, and think I made money because it went up in the number of dollars it takes to buy it. My Dad thinks that about a house he bought a long time ago. Yes, his house costs 4 times what it did back then, but the house is the same old house and if he sold it, the purchasing power of that money hasn’t increased at all, much less quadrupled. The only thing that has quadrupled is the number of dollars he’d have which are worth about 1/4th of what they were when he bought the house. Sssshhh… don’t tell him. It would break his heart.

The way I make money is the way the Rothchilds made it: By exploiting extreme volatility. That’s why a drop in gold to $900 is a big yawn to me, but a drop in gold to $600 would make me a fortune. I was never very good in school, but I was always a good copier.

Well you will need some of those worthless dollars at the ready to buy it $600.

That assumes you didn’t use them to buy when it was sub $1200.

Money has never been cheaper. I can buy all the U.S. dollars I could ever want for nearly nothing. It would be awesome, but I don’t see it happening.
