Hello out there in NACHI-Land,
I confess I am a gadget freak. Have been for years and not willing to change.
My latest acquisition is a GPS unit that connects to my Palm Zire 71 PDA. This baby will find addresses, route directions, and provide real time GPS guidance.
I am now using this instead of my map book or Mapquest.
Are any of you using a GPS system?
Best regards,

I just checked it out on the palm website, I was wondering if anyone was using it yet. No excuse for getting lost on the way to the client’s house now.

The software and GPS devices can also be hooked directly to most laptop computers. Thus saving the expense of the PDA.
However, while either system is really good at telling you exactly where you are at in relation to the map, not all streets and addresses are in the programs database. In other words, it's only as good as your software.
All those recently built new subdivisions may not have been added to your mapping softwares database yet.
I use Delorme Street Atlas 2003 USA. Works REAL well for existing areas, but some new subdivisions don't show on it yet.
