Goodman puts the month as the second set of two digits in the serial number, so the first 02 is 2002, and the second 02 is February.
That numbering convention can get a little confusing when you have something like 0402 or 0603, which would lead most people to believe that they would be April 2002 or June 2003, respectively, when, in fact, they are February 2004 and March 2006, respectively.
I don’t have too many problems with getting the age off the condenser, but I always have problems getting the age of the air handler. Anyone know a good place to find info on those?
I would think that it would be the same as the condenser and/or furnace, particularly the furnace.
The majority of the time the info. will be located right inside the cabinet. Remove the cover and you’ll find a manufacturer’s data plate/tag on the side wall.
