Help with Specific Marketing Info.

Presently I am unemployed and working through the Dislocated


Workers Program here in Michigan.


My case worker is willing to send me to HI school (AHIT in Detroit)
but requires me to do several things to justify her decision.

One is to find out if there is a market for home inspections in this part
of Southwest or Western Michigan.

I know there is a market, but I need to have it documented for this
particular area.

Can anyone give me ideas where I can pull this information from?
Or somehow use national information that could be used to fit this area.

Local Realtors, FHA, HUD, Local Banks. All should have the information you are seeking. Newspaper articles in your “Home Section” continually have statistics.

P.S. You may have to garner information from surrounding bigger towns or cities. Be willing to travel if necessary to accomplish your individual goals.

I appreciate your response to my post. I have already been
in the process of contacting those other resources but wanted
to get as much as possible.

On a similar note, this is the response I received from the
Executive Director of the Realtor Asssociation of Southwest Michigan.

"Larry,
There are so many inspectors in the area that they are not able to stay in business. This area doesn't need anymore. We can usually get the inspections done in the time allowed.
Beth Foley"
