Hi-resolution Photo wanted: Ufer access panel with connection

I need to show what inspectors should look for when trying to find a ground connection in a home with a Ufer grounding electrode. Maybe a shot from 6 feet back or so showing what to look for (access panel) and then another from a couple of feet back showing the actual connection (flashlight).

Please email to kenton@internachi.org

There may not be much to show if the electrode is #4 copper. All you would see is the conductor leaving the slab. Even if rebar is used it can be buried in the concrete…

Around here you typically wouldn’t see the rebar stubbed out of the footing, although with the theft of bare copper at an all time high the rebar stub method may become more prevalent as time goes by.

Kent,
you have mail
i should have more after tomorrow’s gig

I hope this helps…
