Home Inspector (Building Consultant)

As a home inspector at Liberty, the goal is to empower home buyers with important information they need to make good financial decisions. Purchasing a home is one of, if not the largest investments a person will ever make and our home inspectors help our clients make those decisions with confidence. You will use your knowledge of building systems and your skills in communication to act as a voice for the home, and arm the client with the vital information to move into the negotiation phase with the seller.

The Day to Day:

  • Perform thorough, detail-oriented inspections of residential properties
  • Know and understand the required standards of practice to which we inspect
  • Provide well-written, accurate reports as to the precise condition of the homes on the day of the inspection
  • Perform add-on services, such as termite & sewer inspections and air and water quality testing
  • Clearly communicate your inspection findings to the clients, and their realtors
  • Ensure client receives helpful, yet objective feedback regarding findings
  • Communicate with teammates, team leads, and office staff to ensure seamless
  • Build trust with clients and real estate agents using a calm demeanor, consistency, honesty, thoroughness and communication
  • Produce consistent services, both written and verbal
  • Communicate value to client regarding additional services that are provided
  • Always be learning, and always be willing to help your teammates learn
  • All other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

Minimum of 1 year experience as a professional home inspector. Membership to one of the national Home Inspection organizations (InterNACHI or ASHI) is a must. Experience in client-facing jobs is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
