Can anyone who attended, read a sign for, or thought of a Home Inspection School, please send me an email to membership@nachi.org. We are trying to compile a list by state of ALL Home Inspection Schools and then I am going to try to contact them to spread NACHI information.

If you could let me know the name of the school, city, address if you have it, email & phone # would be great.

Additionally, if you have not entered the information into the Continuing Education Log, please do so at http://www.nachi.org/education_log.htm

Thanks, Dave

Dave - I attended the Home Inspection Institute of America. Located at 314 Main Street, PO Box 4174, Wallingford, Connecticut. I thought the school did a good job. Their phone is 203-284-3211. www.inspecthomes.com

Dave,

I attended Hondros college located in Independence Ohio, but this course wasn't very good so I attended the American Home Inspectors Institute Training program that is located in Illinois and I would recommend them to anyone.

Dave,

Jeff Pope mentioned a school that I think should be a requirement if you are a home inspector:

Fireplace Investigation, Research & Education Service (FIRES)
5325 Commerce Ave. Suite #5
Moorpark, CA 93021

Ladies and gentleman,
if there is one area to take in addition to your entry level Home Inspection qualification of 60-90 hours, make it this one. Dale Feb will teach you more about Fireplaces and all the items directly involved and not involved. Offer more than the other inspector - offer safety first to the homeowner and inspections second.
This is my personal view that I am sharing after being exposed to this industry, vendors and schools over the last year.
Sincerely,
Chris Butler
