Please email me the case # and court. Thanks
WOW! we have one home inspector being sued since 2009 .
I wonder how many wind inspections have been done in that time .
These to me are great odds many thousand inspections and we get one report of a law suit .
To me that says our industry is doing a great job .
I would have to agree we do several hundred every month.
Several hundred a month! Thats almost a $1,000! Damn your on rich mofo!
Sorry, not divulging the case number and name of the inspector. He does not want his name our there. You want to research it, go for it. I am sure it is public record. The point I was trying to make was you can be sued for a falsely written report, even one that goes back a few years. All it takes is that one guy that decides he was wronged. You all had better hope that all of you reports were filled out correctly. This could happen to anyone. One of the reasons I stopped posting here was the attitudes on this board. I can see they have not changed much. I am going back into hibernation.
Almost
We hope to make enough to go out to eat!
I heard you make so much money you take the WHOLE family to applebys…lucky guy!
Post the case and file number…
I call bullsh!t.
Now you are talking crazy, I was thinking maybe McDonald’s or Burger King. Wendy’s is too much.
Been to McDonalds lately? It cost almost as much as a Wind Mit!
Problem with doing High Liability Inspections for reduced revenue…
Business Model should be Opposite
I have to agree, especially if he paid out a “settlement”. That usually happens as suggested, when the lawyer says it would be cheaper than fighting it out in court. That’s the trouble with our system it should be looser pays all legal fees, you’d see allot less of these fishing expeditions.
If you won’t post the case number at least post the court so we know where to start looking.
Anyone can be sued… at any time… without reason…
You should not fear these situations… embrace them…
I personally do not play video games…
but I enjoy playing a game with incompetent and misguided attorneys…
Thankfully I have Joe Ferry to guide me
I agee. I had photos in my wid mits and 4 points long before they were required. I also take a lot of photos that do not go in the reports and they are all saved on my computer or on disks.
And even with all of that, you can still be sued. And, more than likely, have to settle, just like this guy did.
Pictures surely do tell a tale… I destroy all pictures after the report is submitted, ya just can’t subpoena photos that don’t exist.
Then you may not have anything to back up what you wrote down, or, maybe your report was altered. It is why I keep everything, until after I retire.
In case you haven’t already guessed, I’m a pretty good story teller too.
A little paranoid?
