How Not to Vent Dryer Exhaust

Attic area and fan motor coated with highly flammable dryer lint. Sellers are very fortunate that a fire never started. Maybe the moisture from the bathroom exhaust dampened the lint!

I have some questions , did you really know if a fire could start ? I was trying to think like a agent lolol i am just kidding Wow is all i have to say. People really have no idea how dangerous it really it is .

What’s the purpose of the insulation? They don’t want the lint to get cold?

They were probably trying to keep it from condensing and dripping on the ceiling.
That’s a lot of work to go through to do something wrong!

I once had a gas dryer vent that was run into the bathroom exhaust and then out the sidewall. I jokingly told the buyers that if they ran the bathroom fan while they ran the dryer, they PROBABLY wouldn’t get CO poisoning…
