Learned recently that a HUD inspector inspected house in N.C. and was signed off as "satisfactory". Buyer hired their own inspector and found, cracked heat exchanger, leaky roof, water in crawlspace, major termite damage to band joist and girder etc. about ten thousand to repair.
Found a HUD grass mowing crew that took over 60 pictures of interior and exterior of a house in SC. Think that maybe the pictures get sent to a HUD inspector somewhere to write a report ? I think so.

sister-in-law bought a hud home the hud inspector missed half the problems. After I inspected it for she came to the conclusion that it wasn’t such a good buy. Do not matter to her I got stuck with the repairs
