If this passes, our industry gets bombarded with work

Each point in order.

Yes it can have the effect of decreasing home prices but it can also kill a lot of individual homeowners trying to sell their homes, particularly the ones that have recently purchased and those who may have purchased at peak price times. It will also extensively harm those who were using their homes to build wealth and retirement funds as they watch the value potentially plummet.

This was a tax credit for new start-ups and not existing small businesses. So that only places new start-ups at/ahead of those who may be working hard to grow their business and was not offered this advantage. No different than opening the border and giving citizenship to all the illegals over those immigrants coming in the legal way.

Also the tax credit, like so many others, is a reduction in the taxable amount of income the business makes. That is not a real $50K in their hand benefit. Although any tax reduction is a good reduction most start-ups won’t benefit significantly enough from this to call it a good thing.

At the current cost of homes today a $25K subsidy is small compared to the sales price and what is needed, a 20% equity down payment, to help eliminate many issues such as PMI, etc. All this will really do is incentivize crap and dishonest Builders to use it as a method to draw people into homes they could not afford anyhow.

With this $25K Freebie all of the other hard working taxpayers who bought homes the responsible way will get to pay for those who can not afford to buy and may not be responsible homeowners.

Cackling Horizontal Harris is a complete idiot who likes to spend the taxpayers’ money like she is in a mall burning down her own credit cards!
