Today is more evidence that my thinking was correct. He’s all over the map.
The main reason he folded was because of the treasury bond sell-off. At least he showed he has a tiny bit of sense, or at least someone with his ear does.

True. Anyone with a quarter of a brain wouldn’t do this crap, unless they are trying to manipulate the market for nefarious reasons.
One thing is certain. Nobody else in the world except his cult trusts him anymore. I mean, they didn’t trust him before either, but now it has certainly been solidified.

As some of you know, I have a legal history over the past 30 years of 63-0. I fight to the death, if I win I move for legal fees, if I lose (and sometimes when I win) I appeal and do it all over again.
My attorney made the last few compliants go away by telling the plaintiffs attorneys that they are going up against someone who doesn’t fold. He even sends them copies of my long case history. The plaintiff’s attorneys look at that and… poof! Complaint dropped.
We get what we want without firing a shot.
But that only works if I continue to do what I say I’m going to do. Waffling back and forth ENCOURAGES the opposition to fight.
I love Trump, but I would not be afraid to go up against him in a negotiation or a lawsuit. He’s wishy washy. And if I’m not afraid… China sure ain’t.
That’s because it’s never been about leading or helping the country. It’s been about promoting and enriching himself. He just wants to do things that keep him in the news and pad his own portfolio. He has no idea how to actually lead a country. It’s so obvious to those not in the cult.

For those pushing the narrative that Trump “caved”, you are mistaken.
Trump implemented the tariffs to prove to the world he is willing to do it, adding validity to his threats, granting him all the leverage in negotiations, and creating urgency.
Now that 75+ nations have shown they are motivated to make a deal, Trump can take them down to 10% for 90 days, to give all these nations time to negotiate a new trade deal in good faith.
But they know in the back of their mind, that if they don’t reach a fair and reasonable deal in a timely fashion, the tariffs are going back up, and they know Trump is not afraid to go through with it, because they just watched him do it.
Trump is showing the world he means business, and is giving them an opportunity to capitulate. Trump had to prove to the world that he holds all the cards, and he is willing to use them.
Every once in a while, the lion has to show the jackals who he is.

So there was no “Black Monday”, the market is fine, and leaders from around the world are quickly lining up to make a new deal with Trump.
It’s almost as if the “experts” have no idea what they are talking about.
