I was incorrect. please disregard
The aluminum conductor should always be larger than the equivalent ampacity copper conductor so that eliminated answers C and D. According to the 83% rule for dwellings in the NEC the correct answer is #2/0 Cu and #4/0 Al.
Sorry… But, what does the size of wire have to do with How to inspect plumbing?
Just asking!
good catch, i just finished plumbing and started electrical. My bad!
The Conductor Sizes section states that it should be 4//0 Al and 2/0 Cu. Maybe that is the incorrect piece? With gauges, isn’t the small number larger?
Yes the smaller number is larger until you get to 0. So the standard sizes from small to large are:
14
12
10
8
6
4
3
2
1
0
00
000
0000
You can now visualize that 4/0 or 4 zeros is larger than 2/0.
ahhh, that’s where I was wrong! I was thinking 4/0 was smaller than 2/0. Thank you Robert!
You’re welcome.
