First time I have seen this devise. It was hooked up to the gas clothes dryer and appears to be some sort of “booster fan”. The dryer vent pipe was approximately 20 ft long.

I see those in high rise condo complexes where the vent termination point is not close to the dryer.

Sorry JJ, I have a hard time trusting Acme products. Wile E Coyote is a distant cousin of mine and as far as I know, not one of their products has ever worked as designed.

Small world. Wile E and I were neighbors growing up. There is a lot of operator error in his use of many of those ACME products.
