I'd guess it to be PB too. I don't see where that PEX link shows the main.

This is not the same type of pipe that I am talking about and from the the pic provided I do not agree that it is the same pipe shown in the above link either.

Just my 2.78 pesos

Also, the Blue Max uses a compresion fiting that is not much different from a compession fitting used for “seal-tight” eletrical conduit.

The foto in question looks to me like it is connected to the meter with a similar "compresion fitting"

Of course I could be wrong, but in this paticular case I do not think I am.

I had a funny situation with PB just last week. we hired a sub. to install a new counter to and faucet in a unit, i noticed the supply lines were PB and warned him of there hazzard. he called me about 20 min. later to tell me that he needed my “BIG” wet/dry vac. right then i knew, but still had to ask…“what happened Bill?”. Bill informed me that although the shut off seemed to work, he forgot to open the faucet to make sure and when he loosene the nut on the shut off, it began to leak a little. so no big deal, just tighten it back up and start over right… well guess what? yup, the ferrel split and boooooooshhhhh!!!. he ran like hell to kill the main and only spilled about 10 gal. but i think he learned a good lesson. and i got a slap in the head for laughing my butt of to his face. oh well… icon_cool.gif
