YEA today is National Puppy Day
National Puppy Day’s goal is to not only celebrate the offspring of man’s best friend but to encourage people to adopt puppies. It was also founded to create awareness of, and put an end to, the cruel practice of puppy mills and farms, and encourages people to “Adopt. Don’t Shop.”

Yep, back when in the day when we had our choice between 3 channels.
I wonder how many even know what it is. Ahh, the good old days.
Didn’t it come on when the channels went off air for the night?
Yep, usually like around midnight is when they would sign off, then you would get the stand by picture with a tone.
I believe at the end of the days programming they would play the national anthem and then the test pattern and it ran all night until programming started again the next day…I think I was around 4 or 5 when we got our first television, it was second hand and had a 9" round screen…
