This is Danielle Latzman, Jay Latzman’s wife. I’m sorry to have to notify you of this but Jay unexpectedly and tragically passed away on 12/22/25 during a gym accident while working out. I wanted to tell you that he looked up to you during his entire home inspection career and really valued the advice and knowledge you have. You guided him to do what was best for his company and in turn for our family. He always knew you’d have the answers and took what you taught about being a home inspector, then Master Inspector, then leading 2 home inspectors underneath him to heart.
Thank you so much for being such a great mentor for him and being someone he could count on professionally. He was extremely proud to be an InterNACHI member and a CMI under your guidance and leadership.
I know there were other inspectors he spoke with over the years and connected with when building his business. I’ve included a link to his obituary below if you’d like to share it in the forums or share amongst whomever you see fit.
I am so sorry to hear about this loss of (CMI) Jay Latzman
Prayers go out to Jay’s wife, family and loved ones. Rest In Piece.
Jay surely looked up to you Nick, as do many inspectors.
We are all so fortunate to have careers in the home and building inspection industries you continue to dedicate you life to. Your leadership is unwavering.
Kind regards.
Robert Young, Montreal Quebec (CPI) (CMI)
