If you are planning on buying a cheap laptop, you may have a pretty long wait. You can find some descent laptops for under a $1,000. The smart thing to do in this case would be to lease a laptop and since you don't own it, you can not lose it if you are sued.

Thank all of you guys…I am looking for an older model that only has to run an insp prog and a few pics…I wanted to ask here b4 headed off to ebay… I dont want a new one…dont need something that powerful to do what I want to do…

Check usanotebooks.com. I bought an IBM Thinkpad for $545.00. It’s a P3 700 Mg. processor. 256 RAM, 10 Gig HD, 56K modem. They have others around $300. Just less bells and whistles.
