Here is free graphic for a manufactured home typical strap tie-down into the concrete footing at a pier.
Another great graphic, Randy !!
Thanks again, Randy.
Great graphic Randy. It helps in letting a client understand the anchoring system. I had to explain this to my client from Monday’s inspection…
Thank you for this graphic Randy this will help my clients who have this type of foundation.
That’s a great one, thanks. How will we find it again when needed? I searched for “manufactured home” in InterNACHI’s graphics library but it did not list.
Ed, I just copy all of Randy’s graphics straight from the post and save it to a file on my desktop. Easy to search and find when needed.
If your software allows it, go ahead and put the picture into the template narratives that are likely to require it. For instance, in my template I have a few narratives related to manufactured home tie-downs. I’ll throw the graphic into my template and they are automatically there if I use that narrative on an inspection. If I use the narrative but the picture doesn’t really fit the specific situation, it is one click and it is deleted from that report, but not from my template.
Sure, but what about similarly useful graphics from Randy & Co about other topics - unless we happen to spot it when Randy post them here, we’d never know about them. I save this one locally like \business\services\inspections\media\manufacturedhomes\tiedown.jpg but still hope it gets cataloged it to NACHI graphics library for the benefit of all.
About two to three times a year I bundle all the graphics and send them to Nick. He will place them in the Nachi library. That’s why I incorporate the Nachi copyright on the graphic.
