Photos are of the space heater and the gas side by side. Look innocent enough, right? Other photos are of a bird’s nest completely blocking the chimney liner of a previous job. Note the chimney weathercap has no bird screen. Last photo is of my UEI CO meter that I no longer leave home without. Thanks for the kind words, although I know any one of you would have done the same. Hopefully a little education for all of us.

My guess is that what you sensed was other combustion byproducts.
