Today’s inspection had a Burnham boiler in the basement. I have contacted Burnham about getting an age for the unit. The house was built in 1920. This boiler looks to have been wood or coal fired, then converted to natural gas. It is still being used as the primary heat source in the house.

That’s a classic. I bet it works just fine.
This was the response that I got from the manufacturer.
…This was a Round Coal boiler and the best we can do is share that it was made prior to 1952. Our paper records don’t go back any earlier than that.
