The scaffolding must be planked solid with toe boards, screw jacks or refered to as leveling jacks under every leg of all bottom scaffolds. They must sit on to a solid wood block on solid ground.

For this particular essay I looked into different types of ladder tie off systems. There are different styles and makes to choose from that could be attached to different ladder systems. The picture attached shows a ladder stability anchor system.

For this particular essay I checked the image gallery and saw different signage as well as cones that could be used on ladders or away from a parked inspector vehicle to keep people from parking to closely or thinking that they could use my ladder.

Hi all, starting this course to learn more about safety–very important. There are always unexpected conditions. For example, I once was wearing plastic booties and walking on a metal plate high off the floor. All of a sudden I was slipping out of control due to oil on the surface in an area with a low level of lighting. Luckily I was able to regain my footing. Be careful!!!

Construction site conditions are constantly changing; therefore, everyone on a job site should wear a hard hat. Hard hats are intended to prevent head injuries by protecting the wearer from falling and/or flying objects. Hard hats should be inspected before each use for damage such as cracks or dents. Any damaged hard hat should be disposed and replaced. The manufacturers recommendations should be consulted to properly adjust the suspension, determine if painting or affixing stickers to a hard hat can be done, and/or to determine if the hard hat can be worn backwards.

My essay is on the Inspector Safety: for Climbing Ladders article. Ladders are vital job site tools; however, if misused they can pose a significant injury threat. While there are many safety controls to consider for the safe use of a ladder, among the most critical is maintaining three points of control. That means maintaining two hands and one foot or two feet and one hand with substantial grip on the ladder at all times and having your body weight distributed across multiple rungs of the ladder. Moving too quickly on a ladder can result in insufficient control and/or balance. To safely use a ladder, often you must make a conscious effort to maintain 3-points of control.
