CCPIA has released its new Online Commercial Property Inspector Exam. Passing the exam is a new requirement for CCPIA certification. This exam assesses the inspector’s knowledge of commercial property inspection procedures, ethics, and building systems and components that are within the scope of the International Standards of Practice for Inspecting Commercial Properties (ComSOP).
This new certification requirement does not impact currently certified CCPIA inspectors. Those who have already attained certification are exempt.
The exam can be accessed through the “Certification Requirements” section at your Education Dashboard.
The exam is available to CCPIA members and part of the certification requirements. Membership is $399/year or $39/month and include all of the online course and the online exam. You receive a certificate of completion for passing the exam.
I think it’s insane that you get charged $399 a year and $39 a month on top, all for a service that you can do without these fees just by downloading ASTM E2018 for free off the internet. Oh, and no test involved.
