Correction Dr Seues plumbing icon_redface.gif

That flex crap is home owner special and clogs too easily. It would not hurt to plumb it correctly.

Joseph K.,

Hey, I resemble that remark. ![icon_biggrin.gif](upload://iKNGSw3qcRIEmXySa8gItY6Gczg.gif) Been called that by family and friends for a long time as I always seem to have the right tool or method for fixing the minor things. Not that I would use those flexible things.

Just the other day with my inspector hat on I called out three of those. The homeowner was present and he got a sheepish grin on his face when I told him they aren't really approved. Yes they sell them but they should really be replaced.

His grin got even bigger when I was pointing out the water heater installation. I found a few things then asked somewhat rhetorically, "Did you install this yourself?". He replied by asking "Can you tell just by looking at it?" Then my grin got big. I didn't know for sure, haven't been around long enough to make that kind of deduction. Some signs were there, also some comments I overheard, that made me think he did it himself.

I just called it out as needing to be reviewed by a qualified and licensed plumber.

I thought having him around was going to be constricting but he was really cool. Pointed out a bunch of things and was fully willing to take my findings and get things right. From some of the stories I have read here this guy's helpfulness is definitely in the minority.
