The “S” trap would only be a problem if it turned directly down to go to the strait pipe…the way it’s situated now, it would not siphon the water out of the trap as is the problem with true “S” type traps.

However as Kevin pointed out the "S" part is somewhat mute.
if I were reporting this myself I would probably have just reported the double trap and recommended that a plumber be called out to effect repairs.
