Panel Insulator? Damage/Cracked does it require replacement?

The Eaton retrofit guts are not cheap, & and if the BR line was chosen it would be a significant down grade (I call Eaton BR “Zinsco II”).

The NEC does not require AFCI’s on a panel swap, unless a local jurisdiction has legally adopted a ordnance or requirement, they cannot require AFCI either.

The panel is a prime example of why terminations need to be properly torqued.

Different Jeff Pope. I see his stickers in panels from time to time. Originally met him in the mid 90’s when I was with ASHI. He shuns agents completely and threatens to sue them if they bad mouth him. Some agents actually forbid him from inspecting their listings and buyers swear he’s their savior. He’s quite a character and may be retired by now.

Or, it could indicate a loose neutral service wire, or loose branch neutrals.

Looks like we need a electrical contractor to come and look that panel up.
