Piggyback and base trusses alignement

Saw this today, two of the piggyback and base trusses did not aligned and was wondering if that is a big problem? Thanks!

Often the joint requires a 2x4x4’ scab unless the sheathing is continuous over intersection at least 12” in both directions (Which yours appears to have.)

So, it doesn’t seem like your situation is problematic being offset a little.)

How old is the house?
It appears to be a custom build.?.

Larry’s assessment may be correct, but from my point of view it looks like a hot mess. :grinning:

Hi Kevin,
The age of the house is about 30 years old. There is only 2 of the piggyback trusses that are not supported by the base trusses but rather by 2x6 laying flat. The other piggyback trusses are all properly supported.

There’s your answer.

House has been there 30 years… If there are no visible structural anomalies/deflection in the roof. I wouldn’t be overly concerned, but would note the atypical framing.
