Safety is a very big concern when inspecting residential pools. An inspector should look for slip-resistant surfaces leading to the pool. These surfaces will include the deck, concrete, steps, and any carpet. If the pool is drained, the inspector would want to ensure the main drain cover was securely mounted to the bottom of the pool.
