Watch your resolution size, and save as a .jpg, large files are very difficult for dial up users. No spaces between letters or words.
To verify if it works click on the preview button. If the picture is visble you should be ok. If you add it as a link, click on the link and see if it loads.

When I upload pics I resize them to 500 pixels wide. This will help with dial up guys and also will keep the picture the correct size so it will fit on the screen. I use irfanview to resize. You can find it here.
