Inspected this home the other day which had a small hole in one of the bedroom walls. As I was looking at it, I noticed the drywall didn’t look like the typical chalky plasterboard. Curious if anyone is able to identify this as “Chinese Drywall” which was my guess?
Chinese drywall looks like any other drywall. There is no difference in appearance, just the chemical compounds in it.
That looks more like lightweight cement board, as it has styrofoam beads in it to make it easy to work with.
