Need some help. I have someone that needs me to check a 1100 sq ft condo for water damage. What would be a good fee?
Ps. This client is legit.
Depends, what is your methodology? Visual non-evasive? Moisture meter? Thermal scan?
You will need to have that sorted in order to have an agreement/scope of work.
Without any specific details regarding a Scope of Work… $4,096.52 works for me.
Did you ask the client any questions? Do they have actual water damage, or are they concerned there may be hidden damage or past damage?
Do they own it? thinking about buying it? Landlords fixing an issue? tenants complaining about some stain?
Was it a plumbing pipe? is it full of standing water now? was it a roof leak? a leak from the adjoining unit or upper unit?
What do they want from you exactly?
Figure out your hourly base rate, then estimate the amount of time you’ll spend on the total project (onsite & report creation, etc)
Once again JJ, you are low balling and screwing us legit inspectors.
Sorry. My bad!
He isn’t even covering expenses. The condo is in Kazakhstan after all.
I only fly first-class and stay in 5 star hotels.
No rental cars are available so the buyer will need to provide transportation.
In my defense…
