In my area of Canada they no longer sell Low slope shingles.
They have not been available for some time .
Regular shingles are used and they require special manufactures proceedures to be followed.
google search for( low slope shingles) will give some ideas.

That’s the what I understand ,with some other changes . They should have two layers of felt and should be caulked all the way across so carpellary action can not can not allow the water up under the shingles . Also the life is greatly lowered and they also require twice as much roof vents .
