Does this presume that flashing is hidden behing the siding. I see no mention of flashing, only siding.

Hi to all,


I believe Dave's question related to the need for siding to be a minimum 1-2 inches above the roof covering so that rainwater on the roof surface can not either wick into the siding or migrate horizontally behind it.

This is a particular issue with wood or composite siding systems but all such interfaces realy need a seperation.
