I saw this same thing at my Mom’s house when I did her inspection.


The outside outlet, which was NOT GFI protected, had been used for a 40 foot RV hookup, now, how many amps will one of those draw? LOL

The thing was not only black over the top, but quite literally melted, quite a mess.

Oh, and the doughhead that hooked his RV this way, a friend of my mothers who said it would be fine, fried his inverter, Hmm, I wonder why that happened? Cost him a pretty penny to fix, and it cost my mom a pretty penny to have that outlet replaced with a GFI outlet as well, and it is PLAINLY marked, 15 amps or BELOW.....

And Gerry, this clock change thing has got me all screwed up too!! Sometimes I wish I lived in Arizona, where they ignore this nonsense...
