On another note I have company from Florida for a few days or so. They are on the sofas after getting off the plane into 20 degree weather.

My grandson just saw snow for the first time.

That is what I was trying to tell you. It’s no longer a junction box it’s an outlet box

Devil’s advocate here:

it’s a junction box if there’s only a wire junction in it.

It’s an outlet box if there’s an outlet in it.

It’s a fixture box if it’s a light fixture mounted to it.

They are all accessible if once you remove the fixture, the outlet, or the lid, unless they are mounted wrong. :wink:

An outlet can be a receptacle, switch, luminaire, lamp holder, or other devices.
