I am certain that was an intentional set-up by the home owner to conceal the termites.
Congrats to David Rey & Jordan Ballard. Got 4 of 5.

#4 was a head scratcher. There’s a few variables where it was between PEX and PVC. I would have picked PEX but it’s only a guess. The other answers were pretty easy.
Congratulations to David and Jordan.
Congrats, @drey & @jballard6.
Congratulations to David and Jordan !!
Congratulations, David and Jordan, well done.
Thanks everyone.
What is the rationale for the official answer? Do installation methods or techniques have an impact on flow rates and friction loss? Does pipe ID affect friction loss? How do fittings affect friction loss?
Congratulations, David and Jordan.

Not anymore. I thought I fixed that before.
Just wondering what the justification was on the answer. Considering all of the variables, what makes PEX the only correct answer?
Why didn’t you try & answer the questions.
Friction loss. There are a few tables that will give you comparisons. I find them tedious so I did not challenge the question. Here is one.
You’re welcome to participate on the next set.
Thanks Marc, I enjoy this thread. I don’t always have time to research the tough questions but I always follow. I appreciate what you guys do!
